The AZAG Housing Scheme 2025 has officially been launched by the Punjab government, starting with the distribution of 2,000 free residential plots in the first phase. This housing drive is aimed at supporting low-income families across Punjab, giving them a chance to move from rented houses to owning a permanent home.

What Makes This Scheme Different?
The AZAG project is not just about giving away land. Each housing colony will be developed with basic facilities that every family needs. The government has promised schools, clinics, green spaces, mosques, safe drinking water, proper drainage, streetlights, and security arrangements.
This approach aims to ensure that beneficiaries receive not only a piece of land but also a proper community to live in.
Who Can Apply?
The scheme is open to households in Punjab with a monthly income below Rs. 50,000. Priority will be given to:
- Widows
- Orphans
- Persons with disabilities
- Daily wage earners and laborers
Basic Eligibility Rules
- Must hold a valid CNIC and be a permanent resident of Punjab
- Household income must be under Rs. 50,000/month
- Applicant should not own any property in Pakistan
Supporting documents, including income proof and affidavits of non-ownership, are required. Special certificates apply in the case of widows, orphans, or persons with disabilities.
How Will Plots Be Distributed?
To maintain transparency, the plots will be allotted through a computerized lottery system. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria will be included in the draw.

Why This Matters for Punjab
Punjab has long faced a serious housing shortage, particularly for low-income families. This initiative is an attempt to provide long-term stability and security to vulnerable groups rather than temporary relief.
The AZAG scheme is being presented as more than just a housing drive—it’s a step toward social justice, empowerment, and community development.
